New Product Spotlight: 100W Monocrystalline Slim Design Solar Panel and 160W Flexible Solar Panel

Winter is over and spring is officially here. The snow is
melting, the ground is thawing, and the birds are chirping. Perhaps the best of
all is the beginning of daylight savings time. Who couldn’t use an extra hour
of sunlight? This time of the year is perfect for putting together a new
renewable power system, especially solar. That is because in just a few short
months, summer will be here and you’ll get the best and fullest use of your new
power system. During the summer, daylight hours are longer, with the longest
day of the year having nearly 12 hours of sunlight. Furthermore, during the
summer, there are generally less overcast days and better peak sunlight hours. This
all translates to a higher power yield from your system.

Just in time for spring, Renogy has released two great new
products: the 100W Monocrystalline Slim Design Solar Panel and the 160W
Flexible Solar Panel. The 100W Monocrystalline Slim Design Solar Panel is
everything you’ve come to love about the classic 100W Monocrystalline Solar
Panel, just taller and skinnier. This leaner panel measures only 19.7 inches across
due to the slimmer design. The slimmer design allows for easier storage,
handling, and installation, and is generally a bit lighter than a traditional
100W Monocrystalline Panel. These panels may be preferable to use on a smaller
(width-wise) roof, as more panels can fit across. With summer just around the
corner, it’s a great time to stock up on these high efficiency panels!

Another great new product is the Renogy brand 160W Flexible
Solar Panel. Lighter than ever and super thin, these panels are a top choice
for boats and sheds. Weighing in at only 6.2lbs, these flexible panels are over
10lbs lighter than the classic 100W Solar Panels and perfect for low
load-bearing surfaces or rooftops. The Flexible Panel is also better for
storage because its only .08’’ thick (5% of the thickness of a traditional
panel). Since the front exterior of the Flex Panel doesn’t have any glass, it
cannot shatter or break into pieces, which may be preferable to some for safety
reasons. If all of the previously mentioned features don’t get you interested
in the Flexible Panel, this will: it can bend to a 248 degree arc! They can be
affixed to a rounded or arc surface. Traditional panels cannot bend at all!

Both the 100W Monocrystalline Slim Design Solar Panel and
the 160W Flexible Solar Panel are also incredibly affordable. The 100W Slim
Design Panel retails at regular price on Renogy.com for $129.99, about $15.00
less than the traditional 100W Monocrystalline Panel, and about $30-$50 dollars
less than many of the competitor’s equivalents. The 160W Flex Panel retails for
only $249.99 at Renogy.com. To give you a perspective, the 100W SunPower
Flexible Solar Panel retails at $299.99. To learn more about both products,
