Over the years Renogy has produced some really amazing solar
panels. Every year, our engineers are working harder and harder to develop the
most efficient, safe, and cost effective solar power options on the market. At
the same time, we’ve also been receptive to our customer’s needs and concerns.
That’s why we’re always testing new products and vow to never offer anything
than the best. This past week we introduced the SunPower Flexible 100W Monocrystalline
Solar Panel to our online store. That’s right, it’s a SunPower Solar Panel!
Like our charge controller and inverter inventory, where brands are mixed, we
decided to add a second (very respectable) brand to our Solar Panel inventory.
At this point, we only have one flexible solar panel, and that is the SunPower
panel. Below is a little comparison between the three 100W monocrystalline
solar panels that Renogy has to offer.
We started with our basic and most popular option, the 100W 12V
Monocrystalline Solar Panel back in 2012. Instantly a success, we’ve changed
very little about this panel over the past 5 years. They’re perfect for RVs,
boats, caravans, campers, and even dry camping setups. Each panel is 47.3 x
21.3 x 1.4in and weighs about 16lbs, making them a great option to install on
most RV rooftops or boat decks. The aluminum framing is ultra-lightweight and
rust proof, making it both an attractive and durable feature of the panels.
With a module efficiency rate of 15.47%, they are a great option for any
off-grid solar power system and retail for $139.99 at Renogy.com.
The Renogy Eclipse 100W Solar Panel (Monocrystalline) is a
newer spin on our beloved bestseller. Since this panel is more efficient than
the classic 100W Monocrystalline Solar Panel, it is a smaller product. The
Eclipse measures 40.8 x 20.7 x 1.4 and weighs only 15lbs, also making it a
lighter travel option. The rust proof aluminum frame is black, so it blends
perfectly with the color of the solar cells. Like the classic 100W panel, the
Eclipse is also ideal for boats, RVs, campers, and remote setups and includes
the waterproof junction box, MC4 connectors, and wire leads. The module
efficiency rating of this panel is 18.35%, more efficient than the classic
100W. These panels are often chosen as the upgrade option on many of the
off-grid solar kits. Retailing at $219.99 at Renogy.com, the Eclipse is a
pricier, but more efficient charging option.
The SunPower Flexible
100 Watt Monocrystalline Solar Panel is brand new to the Renogy inventory.
Although this panel is not constructed out of Renogy solar cells, it is by far
one of the best flexible panels available on the market. This SunPower solar
panel is also perfect for RVs, boats, campers, and dry camping. The panels are
incredibly light, weighing a mere 4.4lbs (roughly 25% of the weight of a
standard 100W Panel) and measures at 45.90 X 22.40 X 0.80In. Since the panel
itself is made out of different material, it resists shattering and corrosion,
major factors in efficiency decline in traditional solar panels. Incredibly,
this panel can safely flex up to 30 degrees, making it a candidate for
irregular surfaces. Made with SunPower’s highest power Gen II back contact
cells, these panels deliver the highest power output and the highest charging
capacity in their product class. They currently retail for $299.99 at
Renogy.com.
In sum, no matter
what you’re looking for, we have the perfect solar panel to meet your needs. Check out our extensive inventory at Renogy.com!
